Dear All
After applying in immigration through London -UK office in 2007 and prepared all the required documents in the 120 days period and send then to London office by the stupid special delivery service of Royal Mail just 4 days before the end of the 120 days period, my papers have not been delivered yet and Royal Do not anything; this is the message which I got when I check my status:
Your item with reference ZW289710525GB is currently progressing through our network.

Your item is currently progressing through our network for delivery.

To check your item's progress please come back later.

Now I do not know what to do and on the commission letter they mentioned that they will take a decision on my file if they do not recieve my documents in the 120 days period. I am getting mad and do not know what to do now?
Any Ideas
Thanks

call royal mail.

I have called Royal Mail, They do apologize and they are very sorry but they said that you are item has been taken to delivery but they do not have any information why there is a delay in delivery!!

Is there any guarantee that it will be delivered at all. Can you email CIC and let them know. I read that visa offices don't like to give extension but perhaps you can send proof through email or something.

if you send it by guarantee service ,I will suggest put complaint and claim compensation as well.

This seems weird. Call Royal mail up and explain to them the contents of the mail and the time bound nature of the communication.

Keep all records, emails intact of the status. If you are seeing the status in a website take a screenshot or make a PDF to be sent to both Royal Mail and CIC.

At the end of the day with some proof you maybe able to get an extension.

Yes I have a recepit with me, The problem is I have sent originals of all things and I hope that it has not been lost. I mean do they refuse at the Canadian High Commission in London to sign for the post man as it is a redirected mail for the immigration officer or what usually happens in this special delivery which should be signed as a proof of delivery?
Thanks a lot

I have contacted Royal Mail again and till now they have no idea about my mail?! The problem than today is Tues the 15th and the deadtime to send the docuements for me is Thur the 17th. I do not to lose hope but:
What if my doments have been lost what will be the case?
or even if it will be delivered after the 17th (end of the 120 days) what will be my situation?
Thanks and hope to hear your opinions

sorry to hear abt it..............wish u luck...............

Have you contacted CIC?, I would have approached them much earlier, do not wait to communicate to them the circumstances and your inability to do anything about it.

I can understand your frustration. Keep your bases covered, send them a snail mail with copies of any receipts from the Royal mail or copies of communications from them.

Are you trying to read advises from members above? if yes then please instead of keep asking same question its time to take action, write an email to your visa office with all proofs of emails and contacts with Royal mail plus copy the online status. You can even include the tracking number for verification purpose. It may work or may not, all depends from IO, because you suppose to send documents at least 2-3 weeks before and not 4 days only. I wish you all the best, not no one can help you if unfortunately you lost all those documents, be ready to get them again just in case ... CIC may grant you an extension but they aren't going to process your case without documents. Good luck.

You should immediately send them an email with scanned piece of your special delivery receipt.

I am not sure of the London office but I was delayed in submitting the documents to New Delhi office. They actually sent me a rejection letter because I had failed to submit the documents within the required time.
I wrote to them (email) requesting them to re-consider and stating that the reason for delay was because I was currently in London and they wanted all the documents again including the PCC from when I first applied in 2004. Getting a PCC from the Indian embassy in London is such a long process. They wrote back stating that they will reconsider this one time because of the stated reason and also they had received my documents by then. They also went to say that in case there are delays due to any reason, I will have to let them know as soon as possible to avoid being refused again.

I am sure London office will not treat this case very differently. Just make sure your english is clear and grammatically correct, you want them to fully understand your situation.
All the best.

I am just speculating here, I dont think they have the facility to sign and receive documents, maybe that is the problem.
