can my mom sign my affidavit of support instead of my dad?

My dad is not here to sign my affidavit ko support, he will sponsor me to study in canada however my father is not here with me, he is working in the other country. He dont know how to use computer so im very worried because there is a possibility that he cannot sign the letter of support. Iam thinking if my mother can sign the affidavit of support on behalf of my dad?

i am in sort of similar situation and what i am going to do is... instead of my father.. i will be submitting documents of my mother. for example, her salary slips, FD proof, acc statements, service certificate etc.

I would suggest you to tell your dad to transfer money from his acc to your mom's acc... and tell your mom to make FD of that amount in her name. then all you would need is an affidavit of support by your mother, sponsor letter signed by her, proof of that FD in her name (plus her salary slips and service certificate, if she is employed) if she is not working, then try to get your father's salary slip and service certificate (or employer's letter)...

Actually my parents have their joint account and i got the bank draft and bank statement under their names, however my mom is a full time housewife and my dad is the only person who works for us. So he will be my sponsor. He need to write a letter of support right? How about my mom does she need to write a letter of support also since both of my parents joint their account in one?

All of my documents are complete except for that letter of support signed by my dad(

you may take a chance and let just your mom give the letter... or try to do one more thing... type a letter of support yourself and print it and courier your father and tell him to sign it and send it back to you.. he may add an affidavit too along with the letter to make the support stronger, if possible...

for SPP you dont need proof. and in General category Affidavit of support should be from someone who is earning in your family and show the funds and source of the earnings.

So only my dad will make a affidavit of support? How about my mom? The bank certificate and bank statememt are under their names. My mom is unemployed and my dad is the only one who works for us.
