Can my grandfather sponsor my studies?

I have recently talked with my grandfather about me studying in Canada and told him that I need some amount to have in my bank account in order to get study permit, he asked me for exact amount and I told him it was approximately 20 000$ ( for first year only) and he told me that I can show his bank account statement. So is it possibly that I can show his bank statement? And I don't know how much money he has on his account but if has just 20 000$, would it be enough to show as the proof of fund for just a year? He has a cafe and banquet room, and is owner of some houses as well, so will this everything be enough?

How much is your first year tuition? He'll need to show a balance that covers first year tuition fees + $10K in living expenses + $2-3K in living expenses.
