My father' background: 68yrs, divorced, Canada PR, annual income 60k, Parents are dead, sister is Chinese nationality.
My background: 41yrs

Can he sponsor me?

Sounds like he should qualify as long as there are no other family members in Canada such as uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, etc.

He will need to be living in Canada while the PR application is being processed.

Just to add. Father needs to live in Canada and meet his RO to sponsor you as other relatives.
And PO didn't specify if his sister is PR of Canada as well. (many Chinese nationality do not want to become Canadian citizens because China doesn't recognize dual citizenship and they do not want to lost their Chinese citizenship)

Hello, thanks for your reply. Under the Lonely Canadian pathway can a citizen qualify for sponsorship of his cousin if he has no immediate family members currently residing in canada . He has siblings, uncles and aunties but they are not based in Canada. He would however like to sponsor just his cousin. Does he qualify ?

When did he become PR and were you listed as his child on his immigration applications?
