Can my Conjugal partner live with me in Canada while awaiting for sponsorship

I've been seeing a women who lives in the U.S for the past 3 years. We been talking and I want to sponsor her (Conjugal partner) is it illegal for her to wait for approval while residing in Canada? If it is what is a better alternative?

She can not be conjugal if she is able to live with you and without knowing your circumstances it is very unlikely that as an American you qualify under the conjugal partner rule.

That is very good but have you checked into what CIC means by conjugal? The main criteria being that you are unable to live together. It is actually quite rare to qualify as conjugal.

Unfortunately, you are not well-informed about the application categories. Because you can be physically present together, you face no bar to either marrying, or living together common-law, and therefore do not qualify under the conjugal category.

Conjugal won't work. You'll either need to get married or live together for a year continuously to become common law in order to sponsor her.

Agreed with above, a conjugal PR app will be rejected.

In general anyone who can visit Canada can't apply under conjugal category, since there is no immigration barrier to stay in each other's countries.

You need to live together for at least 1 year continuously before you can apply for common law sponsorship.
