Can my child keep US passport after citizenship?

I am just wondering why you mentioned that the must use US passport to enter US until s/he is 18 years. Do you have any official link to support this? I don't think this is true.

You must use your U.S. passport to enter the U.S. as long as you are a U.S. citizen, regardless of your age. Use of a foreign passport is not permitted.
