Can my aunt sponsor me for my student visa from canada?

I m from sri lanka. my aunt is from canada. can she sponsor me for student visa for my masters in statistics? if she can sponsor me what are procedures and needed documents?

Yes she can. She needs to write a letter with her signature and states she is responsible for all your expenses while you are in Canada and she makes sure you do not make any cost for Government of Canada.

yes. if you look through the CIC website, I'm sure they have a better explanation of what steps are needed for her to sponsor you.

By sponsor i assume you mean financially sponsor you. Yes, she would have to show the same documents that you would show to show your financial situation. So she would need to provide the following:
* a notarized letter of sponsorship explaining she would be financially responsible for your education and also provide you room and board
* her tax statements showing annual income
* bank statements
* assets

also to consider is the fact that she may be responsible for more people in her family like her own kids and their needs. she would have to be financially capable of paying for your education as well as her own and her family's basic needs.
