CAN+ is real thing

I applied for canada visitor visa from vfs ahmedabad. I got my passport back in 4 working days with Visa stamped until my passport expires. The only reason for this is "CAN+". I already have USA visitor visa and I have been to USA couple of times, so I qualified for CAN+. It is a great program and it really works !!!

To my understanding, only the visa offices decides who get CAN+ processing right? Does applicants have to visit the US and have valid visa or applicants have US visa but hasn't visited yet.

I specifically asked vfs guy to have my application under CAN+, and he attached some kind of form along with my documents and that form has one checkbox saying CAN+.
Regarding your question about visit USA, I think by just having USA visa gets you entry in CAN+, not sure though.

Does they ask you about USA visa before adding that form ?

that's great to know.. at VFS Ahmedabad they suggested me to go for CAN+ because i have B1/B2 and been to USA but my consultant asked me not to go for it.. and i got rejection under normal category.. now i am planning to try under CAN+.. what were the documents did you submit with passport ?

I did submit supporting documents just to be on safe side. I would suggest to do same.

Thanks. If one needs to submit all documents, what is the advantage of this program then?

I was thinking if I can leverage this for my mother and in laws. They are from India, have valid US B1/B2 visa and US travel history (two 6 month trips). But neither of them have employment nor any other source of income.

CAN+ If you have travelled to Canada in the last ten (10) years or currently hold a valid United States non-immigrant visa and can provide proof (entry stamps in passport, proof of the valid visa), no proof of financial support is needed:

Get rid of that consultant. I don't understand what is the harm in attaching a copy of US visa and visit stamps along with the regular application. May be your consultant wasn't aware of what it was and how it helps. So he conveniently asked to skip it.

CAN+ is processed automatically as long as the applicant has a valid B1/B2 visa, right? Can you please let me know how your application is processed. It's helpful to know that someone got their stamping done faster via CAN+.

Did you apply first through the new IRCC portal and also submit biometrics at a VFS center? How many days after submission of your biometrics did you get the PPR?

I applied for my mom's TRV on IRCC portal and she has a valid B2 visa. After submission of biometrics on 2 Dec 2021, there has been no update to her application.

Also, while filling the IRCC application form for TRV, there was no document requested for financial proof in any of the sections. Did you submit anything for this?
