Hi there,

I have a friend whose extended family member has written a generic (without any proper info) invitation letter on their behalf for a visitor visa. If this is reported, will it be considered fraud?
Also, what information is necessary in the invitation letter? The person who applied doesn't have the passport/birth info of the person residing in canada in the invitation letter just the address. And the name is spelled incorrectly? Will these factors be considered to prove fraud?

thanks

See my reply to your other posting of this query.

And, forgive me for saying, but you have some "friends" of questionable integrity. Including one who planned to come to Canada on the passport of a dead person. In that post, you mentioned deceased having died 15 years earlier. Given that passage of time, take it that plan involved seeking renewal of a dead person's passport. Pass the smelling salts please.

The person using this letter would be more likely to be refused for submitting an invitation with false information. It’s not a good idea.
