Can I work with a US based company remotely while living in Ontario after receiving PR through OINP?

I am moving to Toronto shortly and I am being approached by companies based in US who offer remoter work opportunities to people who live in Canada. Can I take up such jobs? Does OINP allow that? What are the issues I might face?

Yes I have PR, I got nominated through OINP

Did you have a job offer as part of the OINP and did you work for the employer?

As a PR you can work for a US company but not as an employee unless you have a US work permit. Most work as a consultant. Would suggest working with an accountant to determine how to best structure working for a YS employer.

No, I didn't have any job offer. I got nominated based on my NOC

No problem then. As already indicated you should be looking into how best to structure your job for tax reasons.
