Hi All,

Can I work fulltime if I am going to extend my study permit (1 year completed and currently awaiting admission for another year). My study permit is valid till sep 30. I am trying to get a job during this summer break. Can I apply for PGWP if I don't want to study next year?. I am working 30 hrs during this summer break, I am getting my degree tomorrow. Should I stop working from tomorrow if I need to go for PGWP. Is there any chance to withdraw my course and apply PGWP if I get a job before my study permit expires? sorry for lengthy query. Please advise

If plan to apply for a PGWP, then you cannot work full time. You have to submit your PGWP application first and then you can work full time.

You shouldn’t be working/working full-time if you don’t have admission to your next program starting in September and you haven’t applied for PGWP.

thanks, Can I submit PGWP in the portal and work on the same day?
Yes you can. I also love your idea (shared by another forum member too). You take admission and receive the offer letter for the fall intake (don't know if a small deposit is required) . If your next program starts on Sept-first week 2020, that is around 60-70 days from the day you graduate and you're still within 90 days of applying for PGWP inside Canada. But that is a grey area as there might be a misrepresentation involved but again you are allowed to work between two programs (150 days gap) so it is kind of tricky and need some expert opinion on this.
