Can I visit with a valid TRV if I was refused a WP extension before and have a PR in-processing now?

Hello,

I left Canada last year after the my application to extend my work visa was refused, because I was in Quebec and bridging visa wasn't applicable to me. In the refusal letter, it says " Your Temporary Residence Status will expire August 7th 2020). Of course I left before that date.

But I just noticed I have in my passport a valid TRV with Visitor Category V-1 in it. It was issued to me until the expiry date of my passport in Oct 2022. Can I visit Canada with this?
Now?

I appreciate any help to understand this.

Thank you

Canada
If the visa remains valid (it should, but be aware that visas can be administratively cancelled, though that does not appear to have happened based on what you've shared) and you meet all other conditions for entry to Canada (COVID tests, vaccines, whatever else these days), yes, you should be able to visit.

Thank you for your answer.
I am a bit worried that at the POE the officer won't be convinced I'm a genuine visitor.

Are you a genuine visitor?
You should be ready to answer questions. Where you are staying? When you are leaving? Did you boo, round trip flight? Etc etc

Yes I am a genuine visitor and intend to respect the conditions of the visitor stay. If its a case of these requirements then I shouldn't be worried because I'm planning on booking a round-trip and hotel stays.

Thank you.

A few months is not a normal length for a vacation. Is there a reason you are wanting to visit for months?

That is true from the looks of it. I am able to work remotely in my current job and I'm thinking of doing so while spending time in Canada and exploring. The more I think about it the more it becomes clear that its difficult to convince an officer with all these details. Maybe I should give up on visiting Canada until my PR is approved.

Does your employer have offices in Canada or any customers or clients in Canada? If so you can’5 work remotely from Canada without a WP.
