Can anyone help me with this, very grateful.

After landing, I get my new SIN number. Right now I want to quit my job and apply for EI, but my working experience and everything is connected to my old SIN number.

Right now, can I apply for EI using my new SIN?
Thanks for helping me.

I'm pretty sure you have to work for a certain period of time & pay into EI before you can apply for it.

Employment Insurance (EI) provides regular benefits to individuals who lose their jobs through no fault of their own (for example, due to shortage of work, seasonal or mass lay-offs) and are available for and able to work, but can't find a job.

Based on that, I don't think you can apply for EI if you quit your job just because you don't like it or don't want to work.
Thanks for reply.
I have worked in the company for over a year using my old SIN number, and it is a sure thing my company has paid EI for me.
I quit my job because I have to move to Ontario to meet my wife, so I am qualified to apply EI in this situation.
I am just not sure if I can apply for EI using my new SIN, because everything is on my old SIN.
Please help...

Yes you can use your new sin number they need about one month to transfer imformation from old sin number to new one. And they also still see both of them.

Hey guys!
I worked for 27 months but last Thursday my contract ended. Do you think I would be eligible to apply for EI? If so how is the process?
