@ ssaansari,

sanjeevindia is correct, CHC ISB doesn't accept anything as proof except "Liquid cash" e.g. bank account.

Sorry, but some of you are incorrect - this extract is taken from my form instruction guide

"Indicate the amount (in Canadian dollars) of unencumbered, transferable and
available funds that you have. This amount can include the value of any property
that you own, but should not include jewellery, cars or other personal assets. "

In my opinion one can use own property as proof of funds with CHC - New Delhi & Islamabad. Lets seniors say something on this as well.

I don't think thats correct. And also its not mentioned anywhere that only London accepts it.

See it clearly shows:

Funds
Indicate the amount (in Canadian dollars) of unencumbered, transferable and available funds that you have. This amount can include the value of any property that you own, but should not include jewellery, cars or other personal assets.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG74.asp

According to this Property, Cash in Bank, FDs are all included.

Hi,

Please give examples of properties whose values are accepted as proof of funds. It is confusing, because a car as per the example given in the visa office instructions is not considered as a property. Does anyone can shed light on this?

No, you cannot show your fix property as proof of fund. It was in old system but in new system (fast track) you must show Cash.

not true for India.. not sure about Pakistan...

ND instructions are very clear...

11. SETTLEMENT FUNDS
Refer to the "Proof of Funds" section of our Web site for exact figures and
instructions.
Provide proof of unencumbered and readily transferable funds in a convertible
currency available for settlement in Canada (for you and your family members):
• current bank certification letter; or
• evidence of savings balance; or
• fixed or time deposit statements.
