Hi,
I still have an original IELTS general certificate that I did about 5 years ago which of course expired, can I use it to proof language capability for citizenship?

Thanks,

~A

What will happen if you send them General Training IELTS that you did not use for your immigration process? Will they reject it?

The instructions say they accept an expired ielts test report form only if its been submitted previously for immigration so the answer is yes.

So your application will be returned even before AOR or will it create issues during the processing of application? I did submit my General Training IELTS but did not use it for immigration (came on spousal visa and did not need it). Anyway I have also submitted my graduation statement from Australia which states I was awarded this degree and medium was English. I also submitted my bachelor's degree but there is no mentioning of medium of language on the degree. I received my AOR last week so I hope everything will be OK.

I sent the original IELTS certifications with my PR application, but still have a copy, can I use it? will they ask about the original during the test time?
Thanks,
~A

Many thanks Lakky, I will for sure take your advise.
One more question, I have a scan copy (not a certified copy) from the IELTS certificate I used fro my PR application, can I use this while not having the original nor a certified copy of the original?

Thanks,

~A

Why was you application rejected? Did they give any specific reason? Also was it rejected after receiving AOR or you did not get the AOR?

Initially they should accept it but once it gets to the processing office and its scrutinized it'll cause the application to be rejected but you should be fine because of your bachelor's degree

Correction: You would have used the original for the PR application, and they should have the certificate number in their records to confirm the copy.

Hi

You can use a copy, however be prepared to explain why you don't have the original at the interview. Although many people are not asked about it.

1/ A copy is not questioned, as you have to submit the original with your PR application.
