Hello Guys,

I have applied to Opportunities Ontario PNP program under International Master's stream. Right now, My file is under Processing.

Recently, I have got a full time job in Ontario. Due to nature of my job, I need to travel from time to time outside of Ontario (But the travel would be within Canada only) i.e. my home office would be located in Ontario only.

So my question is that will my work travel would have any affect on my PNP or PR in future ?

Do I need to physically present in Ontario all the time until I get my PR ?

Looking forward to hear your suggestions and advice. Thanks in advance for your help.

Generally you are allowed to travel while your file is being processed. If your travelling is work-related, and the official location of your worksite and company is in Ontario, you should be fine. It won't have an effect on your PNP or PR case - but keep in mind that in the PR application you need to make a list of all your travels and the nature of those travels, so if you travel a lot just keep track of the dates so that it's easier for you to eventually fill out the required forms.

You don't need to be 100% physically present in Ontario until you get your PR. You're allowed to travel for personal reasons as well. But generally people try to avoid being away for too long (i.e. 30 days or so), just so that they can convince CIC if ever questioned that their primary location of dwelling and workplace is still in the nominating province.

Thanks a lot for the clarification.
