Can i travel 21 days before my class start date

My classes are going to start on 6 January 2022 (on LOA it's 1 jan).
So,Can i travel on 7th December?

My agent is saying i can't travel before 21 days.

21 days should be fine. IRCC recommends not more than one month.

Actually I was planning to travel on 21st dec. But tickets are damn expensive

3 weeks is just about right. for most newcomers, you need about a week to find a suitable accommodation (unless you have a pre-arranged on-campus housing agreement with your DLI). you may or may not find a place to rent in just one week. unless you’d go for whatever is available. throw in another week to move in and settle down, and to buy furnitures if you have to. the week before classes start is usually reserved for orientations.
