Since third party payments aren't allowed, can I transfer funds to GIC with CIBC from a joint account of myself and my parents in my home country, or does it have to be from my own bank account?

I know ICICI canada will allow split transfer of money and applicant or applicant parents can use there account to transfer money into GIC from india

Only condition they told that parents name is correctly mentioned in applicant passport
