Can I take ESL courses with work permit?

Hi, everyone.

I have a close work permit which is 2 years permitted.

And I'm currently working in Canada but unfortunately I'm not that good at English.

So I just want to improve my English.

And then I was thinking of taking part-time ESL courses at some university (2 days/week, and probably 3 months.)

Buy my work permit shows

UNLESS AUTHORIZED, PROHIBITED FROM ATTENDING ANY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION AND TAKING ANY ACADEMIC, PROFESSIONAL OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING COURSE.

So that means I can't take ESL program?

Please help me.

Yes, you can take the course as it is not academic and neither is it full time.

I just wanted to take ESL courses but when I saw the work permit, it freaked me out.
