Can I take a break in fall session?

I am full time international student currently enrolled in spring/summer session. After finishing this term, Can i take a break in fall session and resume my studies in winter session? Can I work during that break? Please clarify me this doubt?

no you cannot take a break legall you are allowed to work full time in summer vacations only and the rest you need to be a full time student

I beg to defer on Mr. Haiders comment, The situation is an international student is eligible to take a break only after completing 1 semester of full time studies. There are 2 types of breaks one is scheduled and the other is unscheduled. A scheduled break is incorporated in your program which you have to take, the other one is you request for a break to your college. in your case it is going to be a request for an unscheduled break, which is subject to approval. You will have to submit an application explaining the reason for the break. If they approve, you are eligible to work full time for that duration.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not say that you going back to your home country and keep on working here. You have to tell your college the truth. If caught you may be deported for Lying and falsification of facts.

The best thing is to speak to your students service counselor about it.

Based on Regulation 186(v)(iii) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, eligible students can work full time during a regularly scheduled break.

According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, to be considered a regularly scheduled break, the break must be part of the designated learning institution's (DLI) academic calendar. Each regularly scheduled break should not be longer than 150 days. The maximum cumulative duration of regularly scheduled breaks is 180 days per calendar year (January - December). Eligible students must hold full-time enrollment during the academic session before and after the regularly scheduled break. By taking an unscheduled break, OP also risks not being approved for a PGWP.

Only summer breaks are considered as scheduled break or there is winter break also considered scheduled break.

Then you may want to check with them again. Just because you are ALLOWED to take a break does not mean it will be deemed a scheduled break.

If the fall break you are planning to take is NOT part of the school's academic calendar as a SCHEDULED break then you cannot work full time.

So now i was misguided by college department can explain this to cic while applying for pgwp ?? After all i asked them twice can i work full time they said yes and i have all the conversation on emails as proof.

You can tell IRCC whatever you want, in terms of what the result will be I cannot say.

Are all the other students from your program and same start date on a break with you? If not, it isn’t a scheduled break.
