Can I submit my Academic Module IELTS test results?

yes u can as long as your ielts academic would be less than 1 year old................cheers

well you can try, but now a days IELTS is a bigger issue than before. And for immigration it is said to be General, so you can gamble with Academics...There are cases before that they said they were approved but now nobody is posting of approval, mostly of tightening of the rules. You can wait for more input from the seniors.

Hi,

If you have applied to CIC before 26th June then you can use your Academic but if you have applied to CIC after 26th June or you are going to apply now then you will have to give General. I have pasted the link below from the CIC website which clearly says "General Module"

Got a big problem.

I have sent my application with academic module IELTS on July 27.
Based on "Date: 2010-04-01 update" they said "Section 11.5 – Updated note on IELTS that both Academic and General Training tests are acceptable"

Unfortunately, on July 26, they updated again said that "Section 11.5 – Updated the note regarding acceptable language testing results to clarify that, for the IELTS reading and writing tests, only the results of the “General Training” tests are accepted
for CIC purposes and updated the reference to the organization responsible for administering the CELPIP."
I didn't have enough time to read it on July 26

what's should i do next? Just pray for the God help..
Please advise me....

Hi,

yes all you can do is pray at this stage they might let it slide but cant say anything for sure, this General Module rule came in on 26th June not July.

I think you can do one of three things
1) do nothing,
2) send CIC a letter explaining the error and that you can do the GT if they so required and to let you know if they require it,
3) Register for GT. Send CIC a letter explaining the error and that you have registered for GT.

Not sure what else you could do. Wait for others to reply.

I deciced to hang my life with god. On the bright side, they proprably accept my docs.
If they refuse ,they should send all package to me.
Not sure for How long they will take time for returning my application ?
