what a question? With a PR you are already a landlord. The only difference between you and a Canadian voting and being voted for. You can pursue you academics to any length.

As a permanent resident, you have the right to get most social benefits that Canadian citizens receive, including health care coverage, live, work or study anywhere in Canada. What you cannot do is vote or run for political office, or and hold some jobs that need a high-level security clearance.
