No you do not need to have a high school diploma to sponsor your husband....but you do have to be over the age of 18 years!!! :)

Are you sure ? I will try to get my credits asap to get my diploma..I just got busy with my freelancer makeup artistry work..I never paid attention to it..The person we hired to help us prepare the sponsorship papers is asking for my educational papers but i dont have anything.. i am really very scared.. :(

There is no education requirement to sponsor. You can read all the guidelines and you will see that..an you also dont need to include any paperwork in your application that relates to your education. There is just a question about how many years of education you have so all you have to do is fill that question out

You don't have to provide educational papers as a sponsor. It doesn't sound like the person you've hired knows what they are doing. I would honestly fire them, get your money back and do it yourself.

No high school diploma required but as someone mentioned, you must be over 18.

Okay so I shouldnt be worried about that causing a problem for me as a sponsor ? I am like super worried and scared right now because I never planned to get married this early..it really just happened..then this year i went to india stayed there for 6months not intentionally..got really sick and couldnt travel, so i got no time to get my credits to get my diploma..and now i have no enough time left to enroll in a course and finish 3courses on time. Please tell me if I have anything to worry about ? :( :( :( :(

I am over 18..I am 21yrs old..

No you do not need any high school diploma, it doesnt matter to them, you just need to be over 18 , you need to prove your relationship is genuine on your app. with proofs, good luck hun

Thankyou everyone so much for replying. I was just looking at the application forms and it asks give the number of years you have successfully completed for each of the following levels of education. Elementary, secondary etc. Then it asks give all the details of all the secondary and post secondary education. So what should I put there ? it asks for from which year to what year and it asks certificate or diploma issued ?

maybe i am looking at the wrong application form ? Can anyone please post me a link to the application form that i need to fill as a SPONSOR ? is it this one that says SPONSOR QUESTIONNAIRE or the one under Part-2 Immigration Forms ? I am guessing Part-1 Sponsorship forms are for me and Part-2 immigration forms are for my husband on cic website ? ...I am super confused.. :( :(

This may help you. They are guides to sponsorship and answer a lot questions as well as have direct links to the forms you need (as long as you're connected to the internet). They are both Outland applications.

My husband never finished high school either and that's never been a concern. You should be more focused on proving your relationship is real than your education. As far answering the questions, do it truthfully. If you want to write a letter explaining why you never finished school, you can, but education is not a requirement for Family Class sponsorship.

thanks alot. I was looking at the wrong form. As a sponsor i dont need to fill in or give out any paperwork regarding my education. :)
