Can I still send the additional documents?

Hi guys,

My spouse is an inlander applicants for permanent residence.

We sent application at June 1st 2011.

I wonder if we can still send some more document to proof our relationship.

cause I heard it took some time for CIC to open additional document.

I'm scared that they will process his application before they open the additional document we will send this week.

Your advice would be appreciated

If you have your file number, then yes, send anything you want with a cover letter.

No you CANNOT send any additional documents until they request them. I know from my own experience as i sent some documents (with letter of explanation) to CIC just after they recieved my application and they sent it back to my home on the same day! send them ONLY if they request them. also im pretty sure when the applicant's application (person being sponsored) reaches the visa office in their home country they can send additional documents then but NOT when you are waiting for sponsorship approval.

yes he can, on the phone they would tell you that you cant, but in fact you can because u r updating ur file. The only bad thing is that it takes em up to 6 months to open additional documkents so if u send them now they might open them around july

hi,

i did call CIC to ask if i can send more info to show that i went another trip to my husband country and they said it is not necessary... however, 20 days after my trip. the embassy called my husband for more info and he send everything!!!
i don't know if this will help you but always keep copies of what you send!!
