That is not true. A PR can sponsor parents immediately (or whenever the parents program is open) if they have the 3 years income.chakrab said:you cant sponsor your parents till 5 years after getting PR. no chance of sponsoring your sisters.
You mean the 5 year ban of sponsoring new spouses, not 3 yearsRob_TO said:That is not true. A PR can sponsor parents immediately if they have the 3 years income.
3 year rule is only for sponsoring new spouses after divorce.
That's completely incorrect. There's no five year rule for sponsoring parents. You are thinking of the rule that bans someone who was sponsored as a spouse through family class from sponsoring a new spouse for five years after landing. Again, absolutely nothing to do with parents.chakrab said:you cant sponsor your parents till 5 years after getting PR. no chance of sponsoring your sisters.

Actually, it's 5 years after landing as PR, not 5 years after divorce. The way you worded it, sounds like its 5 year ban starts after the divorce.Rob_TO said:Yep! edited.
She can apply for FSW if she qualifies. You or her will have to look through the requirements to find out if she can apply. If she doesn't qualify for that program, she can look into the Provincial Nominee programs (although many of these require a job offer in Canada).saadt said:My only concern is how can I get my sisters here in Canada. My older sister is working so I guess she will have to apply for Federal Skilled worker class? Is there any other way for her?
If I somehow get her a letter of employment from my company. Can she apply for FSW class?scylla said:She can apply for FSW if she qualifies. A letter of employment isn't enough. She also needs an approved LMO and a permanent job offer. There are additional requirements (IELTS, experience, minimum points, etc.).saadt said:If I somehow get her a letter of employment from my company. Can she apply for FSW class?
