Hi,

I currently have a valid PR but I do not work in Canada. I am working in the US on H1B visa. Can I still sponsor my spouse for PR ?
I live in Canada but working remotely for the US firm.

Thanks
Shruti

Are you spending all your time in Canada? If so then yes you can sponsor your spouse.

How many days/ months is the minimum requirement ?

There is no exact amount. If you are in the US regularly or go on vacation that can all be an issue. How many days are out out of Canada approximately during 1 year. Assume you have paid your US taxes first so your Canadian income on your NOA will also appear quite low. In general CIC wants to also make sure they are approving people who plan on living in Canada.

You must be living in Canada. If you are regularly outside of Canada working, there will be issues as IRCC will consider you not to be resident in Canada.
