Can I sponsor ONE of my parents only?

I would like to know if I can sponsor only my mother without my father although they are together?

Sure you can list one parent as non-accompanying.

But BOTH parents must pass medical exams, and BOTH parents must be counted in your LICO for income requirements, even if only 1 intends to get PR.

Thanks for reply. Do both of them have to also go for an interview at the Canadian consulate or embassy?
