Hi,

If I sponsor my parents, can I sponsor my 31 year old sister , unmarried and lives with my parents?

If yes, how much funds do I need to show for all of them.

Thanks!

No you cannot sponsor your sister.

Isn't she is my parents dependent ?

Yes you can sponsor your sister or brother under 22 years . ( Used to be 22 then 18 and back to 22 )

Is there any province in Canada, where its easier to sponsor brother or sister over 22 year old.

You should ask your sister to obtain skills to jobs that are in high demand in Canada, learn English, and immigrate as a skilled worker.

I was replying to his specific situation.

And even then your information makes it sound as anyone can sponsor their sibling if they are under 22 years of age which is not true, there a lot of conditions that would have to be met. And also the government is only talking about raising the age limit back to 22, it has not done so yet.

Incorrect. This rule hasn't been changed yet. It's still 18.

Your sister would only be considered a dependent if she had some sort of physical or mental disability that caused her to be financially reliant on your parents.

No, your parents can't apply for your PR.
