Re: Spouse Work in my CIC profile
Hi All
I am in a similar situation. My spouse who in this case is a secondary applicant worked outside of Canada (i.e. in our home country) in an "informal" institution for young kids.
All that i have from her institution is an appointment letter and a relieving letter. Moreover, the institution head herself is a hesitant to answering any queries on employment reference checks (since she runs it informally out of her own home). In this arrangement, being a secondary applicant, and because its foreign work experience, there are - as it is - no points added for her work experience.
The data from the Express Entry profile shows my spouse's work experience in "Work History" section and the express entry profile itself is freezed now, on account of the ITA.
At present, i have already received the ITA and am faced with the following queries:
1. Considering the above, when i start filling up the permanent resident forms - What all documents would i be required to upload for my spouse - apart form the Appointment and relieving letter - if i continue to keep this job detail in the work history section of the Permanent residence application form as well?
2. Is it safe to remove it from the Wok History section in the PR forms under work history (since i am not getting any additional points anyways) and update this experience in the Personal History section for her? Will it not de-synchronize the PR application with respect to the Express Entry profile?
3. If Point (2) is ok to proceed, what all documents would be required then?
Finally what would be your advise? I am already through with the OINP Nomination where by the way i had submitted the Appointment and relieving letter for my spouse's work experience. Will there be a reference letter requirement too?
Requesting Asivad, and all other seniors for some advise before i freeze the forms and move to the next step of uploading docs.
