Hi My question is :-

I have a experience of 6 years in my job profile NOC 2171 but I have worked in 4 companies

1st company - 8 months

2nd company - 1 Year and 2 months

3rd Company - 1 Year and 10 Months

4th company - 2 years and 3 months

Now my question is:- In my 2nd company I did not serve the notice period so the company denied me giving reference letter to me.

Should I go with all 4 companies and show

the 2nd company also but clearly mention in the covering letter that I did not serve the notice period
I can show appointment letter, offer letter and appraisal letters of the company , form 16 but relieving letter and reference letter are not there.

Can any expert guide me what to do in this situation, writing all the truth about the 2nd company in the covering letter would make negative impact and cause rejection of my

case.
Please answer

You clearly have enough years of experience to claim the highest number of points for work experience with only the last two work experiences. In other words, you don't need to claim points for the second experience. You can leave it out of your work history and then add it in your personal history instead. It'll save you much hassle, and it won't impact your application in a negative way. That way you won't have to provide any evidence of employment with them.

The fact that you've received your ITA is irrelevant. If making the change that Tocanadawego suggested does not affect your CRS then do that, explain that you were unable to get a reference letter from your former employer in a LOE.

If you actually insist on providing proof of that job then what you have is not sufficient. You need a declaration from a former manager or colleague stating your duties and responsibilities so it matches your chosen NOC code, it is also recommended to notarize this letter. Finally, it is suggested to have proof that you requested a proper reference letter - e-mails in this case.

Agreed. As long as your CRS is not being impacted, you can remove it from work history.

I am in the same situation, I have total 8 year experience and in between my second and third job I did 6 month job in another company . Now they are not giving me reference letter for this and they told me that we have already given you experience letter and any additional documents we can't provide to you. Here if CIC will ask about this then can i show 6 month gap and tell them I was unemployed. Secondly, can I remove this experience from my profile because I have already get required experience.

You can remove it but you still have to add it in the personal history section.

Exactly. Don't say you were unemployed. That's lying and could get you in trouble if they found out. As long as it's listed in your personal history you won't be asked to provide supporting documents.

It's important to know that work history allows gaps, while personal history does not.

Wait, what needs to be notarized? The experience proof letter? Isn't that just supposed to be on the company letterhead signed by the supervisor/manager with the company stamp?

Does this mean, I can simply remove my 2nd job from the work history and put that in personal history, yes, that's true I am ok if this experience is not count still I am good with CRS count but my concern is;

I have already shown this job in my work history at the time of creation of profile which I cannot modify now, So showing 2nd job in work history in the express entry profile and at the time of uploading documents I am putting that in personal history would make my case non synchronised ???

That wouldn't be a problem. The other job is irrelevant to your PR application and may be safely moved to Personal history.

No.

I'm taking about the case when the employer refuses to provide a reference letter and a colleague has to write a declaration of duties and responsibilities.

Following on the reference letters, do CIC follow up and contact employers about the contents/authenticity of a reference letter?

The reason I am asking is one of my previous employers went out of business and I am not how CIC will check on reference letters!

Any personal experience on this?

Thanks

Okay, but if the employer is providing a reference letter, then I don't need to bother with notarizing that, do I? It's officially from them.
