Can I send a revised SOP to an application already made?

Hi!

For my student visa reapplication, I would like to send a revised SOP. My agent has stated that it is not possible, however according to some, it is indeed possible.

If so, could you please tell me how it should be done in the application system?

Thanks in advance!

There's no technical restriction as such. You can send it through a webform. However IMO, revising your SoP is like giving an indication that you are doubtful with your study plan. If you have made a grave mistake in your SoP that you now want to rectify then you may do so and probably attach an LoE giving proper explanation as to why you're reuploading. But please discuss this with enough members on this forum and rethink whether its really crucial for your application as it can backfire as well.

All the best.

There is no way to change uploaded documents, you can send anything you want through webform but should generally only be used if some important information has changed like you got married or changed schools or something not because you feel unsure about your application, like the other poster said it might make you look worse in officers eyes. Also no guarantee your new docs will be considered.

If you're uploading a new SOP, ensure it's one which reinforces all the basic points of your initial SOP. Let's assume that your first SOP didn't throw much light as to why you want to study in Canada and how you want to go about sustaining yourself, and plans to return home after your studies, etc., there wouldn't be any harm if you decide to send in a new copy via webform, so long as you're only giving throwing more lights on these matters in a way that builds on the first SOP. The point is, do not end up contradicting your first SOP!
