No, its illegal to work on visit visa... it says so clearly on the visa stamping itself.

i know some go there, stay illegally, work illegally and overstay... if thats your question then if you have plans for migrating anywhere (i mean even US, australia, denmark, whatever) will go down the drain as you will have to declare that you overstayed your visit visa and worked there illegally...

Dear,

Thanks & Appreciated for your reply, but I was thinking this way

1.Search for a Job
2.Get an Employment Letter
3.Leave Canada
4.Get Visa stamped from my Home Country or the country I am residing inn presently.
5.Fly to Canada on Valid Work Visa.

Please advice accordingly.

Thanks

Its not easy to find a job in Canada especially if you don't have Canadian work experience. You can still try but you have to convince the Immigration officer that you will visit Canada for sight seeing or visit a family otherwise, you will be denied of entering the country.

Thanks

How about obtaining PR...???

Probability of getting PR?????

there is a free CRS calculator here. Look for it and calculate your chance of getting a PR. It's so easy to know.

Points 1 and 3 are feasible. When it comes to points 2, 4 and 5 highly unprobable.

Why, because practicaly every potential employer will backpaddle the moment they will understand, that you do not have work visa or PR yet.

Such plan might work when you aready have temp work visa (for example Work holiday) and you come as tourist a bit earlier to be able to work from your day 1 with this visas.

Calculate Your Points for Canadian Immigration Express Entry Pool

You have 348 points*

This is what I got on CRS Calculator

You will need more points going by current EE draw scores. I advise you focus on getting a provincial nomination to increase your chances of getting PR.

Please pen it down...

It will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

this should be fun

#1 - this isnt saudi or ME where plane loads of people come on visit visas hoping to find a job (before you say anything - i work in the ME, i know how things go here)
# 2 - "search for a job" - good luck... you will be quite lucky to find work even as a new immigrant, on visit - lets just say there are better chances of a snowstorm in UAE
# 3 - employment letter - yeah, i somehow dont see how a company will offer you a job "legally" when you dont even have work permit...

lets go back to the beginning
# 4 - wont be that easy to find visit visa to canada anyway, if you are not employed currently.
# 5 - have you thought about how to take care of your family while you are away (im assuming here you are married with kids, i mean i could be wrong here obviously)
# 6 - i'm assuming your current job doesnt give a 3-4 month unpaid holiday to help you go find a job outside... (hardly anyone in ME would offer it)
# 7 - you sure you want to risk quitting your current employment to search for something which is, well... lets just say risky ... (i'll be mild here)
# 8 - OK lets assume your master plan works becoz the universe is quite kind to you... whats the next step of the master plan ? work for 2-3 years, then apply for immg ? guess what ? 2-3 yrs later you will be 2-3 yrs older, the points you get for canadian employment will be offset by your increasing age.
# 9 - there is no guarantee the EE system will be there down the line, it might be replaced by a completely different system whose points calculation will be different to what it is now... it can work in your favor, or much more likely to work against...
# 10 - weather is pretty rough 8 months of the year... very very different from the ME where the forecast ranges from sunny to very sunny to very very sunny...

i can go on and on... this is just the start :)

there is a thread called brutal winters and jobless immigrant family, you should go through that thread, and some other threads to understand the troubles undertaken by immigrant families (legally immigrant ones) when they come here with very high expectations, and no planning...

BTW i'm not trying to discourage you from moving to canada, far from it... i would absolutely like if you apply for immigration, come with your family and settle down there as a family, there are so many benefits of moving there... free healthcare and education, better lifestyle are there primary benefits... but this plan of testing waters and searching for jobs while you are on visit visa is definitely not recommended....

good luck.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/express-entry-in-a-nutshell-t394158.0.html

you can go through the above post, this is a very detailed description of the express entry program, what it contains, how to apply, different nomination programs etc...

i would strongly strongly strongly recommend not to go through a consultant, they will charge you an arm and a leg (figuratively speaking :) ) for something which is very simple and straightforward, besides that consultants are trained to tell you a story which you can never say no to.... they will paint a picture which is far away from the truth. Trust me when i say this - they are trained to make even hell look like a beach resort and by the time they are done, you would want to live there... LOL...

what you can do however if you want is to approach 2-3 consultants, get the information you need and then apply for yourself, thats exactly what I had done (i didnt know this blog existed when i applied) , but trust me when i say this - if you understand english and you have a working knowledge of computers, applying for express entry program is very easy.

if you want to still goto canada to visit the place, sure go ahead... even i had visited there twice before i decided for sure that is where i would like to migrate... best option would be tourist visa, i have never heard of work holiday visa so i cant comment.

good luck with whatever you choose to do.
