Hey guy I have a question. I applied for my PR since First week in september, 2014, and i didnt get a reply as yet nor a cc charge. My question is I am going to my home country and planning to return until the end of february, 2015, someone told me that i won't be allowed back in canada cause i will have less than 6 months remaining on my visa and work work permit since it's expiring in June, 2015. Is that true ? :-X

That's not true , I returned within 6 months of my WP expiry without any hassles. You are entitled to work legally as long as your WP is valid , it doesn't matter when you return.

As long as your work permit & TRV are valid you are good to enter Canada.

I think two people clarified it clearly and me with my personal experience , What concern you have now , Can you please tell.

You can enter even if they are valid for one week.. someone really likes to scare you :p..
i came to canada 4 weeks before my visa and work permit were about to expire and i entered without any worries :)

If the work permit only valid for one more week, it will raise a red flag for these CBSA officers thou. As long as you can provide documents to proof them otherwise, and that you won't overextend your stay here without any status and have no ill-intentions, they most likely will let you in. Maybe they will even offer you help in extending your status...

It seemed that those people who are not allowed back in Canada with less than 6 months remaining on their visa, according to your friend's stories, might have other reasons for refusal that we might not know. For example, criminal records, overextensions, misuse of status, and many others...
