I landed on 27 July 2009 and went back 12 Aug.2009
I visitd Canada on 27 March 2012 tell 3rd April 2012
I came and settled on 20th July 2012 tell now .
I need to travel to visit my family.
Can I travel now for only 21days ???
or Can I apply to renew my PRC ???if not when I can apply to renwe it ???
Thank you

If your PR card expires in less than 6 months, you can apply to renew now if you meet the residency obligation.

I don't think you should risk travelling for 21 days before you renew your card because that will put you right at the limit.

Hi Leon,
My PRC wil expire in 26 Aug.2014.
According to the date I wrote when I can apply to renew it?
Thank you

They say up to 180 days before it expires so according to Excel, you could apply to renew it as of tomorrow.

However, keep in mind that getting a new PR card does not exempt you from continuning to meet the residency requirements. If you wait to visit your family until July 20th, you will have a full two years in Canada and do not have to worry about how long you visit (up to 3 years). However, if you leave earlier, you still have to make sure that you will reach 730 days in Canada in your first 5 years as a PR.
