Hi all, I have consulted several immigration experts, and got the different answers.
Some of them showed me the IRCC website, which shows IRCC does not forbiden(or allowed) renew visitor visa within Canada.
Others say I can only renew it with a valid study or work permit.
And in practice, I know many people renewed their visitor visa within Canada successfully using a traval record.

Could you tell me is there a official regulation about it?

1st thing, there is nothing like Renew of TRV. There is always a NEW APPLICATION for TRV.

Yes, You can APPLY for a new TRV in Canada.

There will be some questions to be answered:
Why you want to apply TRV inside Canada, when you are just a visitor and have no study/work/other temporary residence permit.
this is a tricky question. Your existing TRV was given to you to visit and leave within 6 Months.
If you are within the allowed time of stay, you dont need a TRV to stay. Your entry is valid for 6 Months, even if your TRV expired.
If you are out of the allowed time, you are already out of status and illegal stay. You need to apply for extension to restore the status.

At last, your question could be, will the inside Canada TRV application be approved?
My answer will be: It depends on how strong is your reason that why you want to apply within Canada? If it is just to extend your stay and your intention is to stay futher to look for job etc. then I am afraid it could lead to a refusal due to breach of temporary stay clauses.

Thank you for your advice!
My visitor record is valid now. I want to apply TRV in Canada, because it will be much faster than in my original country.
I merely found instructions for applying TRV in Canada with study permit or work permit.
Indeed, my queston should be: Is it legal to apply TRV in Canada while holding a Visitor Record? If the answer is yes, could you share me the link of the exact act or illustration?

There is no instructions for applying a TRV in canada for a visitor record.
The process will be same as a TRV application from your home country, the only difference will be YOUR CURRENT RESIDENCE ADDRESS will be canada. The system will assign it as inside Canada TRV application.
In my advice, Do not apply from inside Canada until you have very STRONG and VALID reasons for that.
Faster than my home country, is not a good reason.
