Can I quit my LMIA job, after PR?

Hey guys!

Do you guys know what the legal standing is on your LMIA after you get PR? If let's say I got an LMIA in Jan 2014, for three years (so until January 2017), but I get my PR in October 2015, can I quit that job or is my LMIA bounding me to the company?

Once you get PR you can work for whomever you want. No need to remain with the employer who obtain the LMIA.

Although i would try to be a bit loyal....without this employer you would have no PR. If everybody jumped ship the moment they got their PR then employers would shy away from going to the hassle of getting LMIAs.

Dont get me wrong, you're free to go wherever but it would be bad karma to jump ship immediately.
