can I pay the fee now , or later ?

Hello friends.

My husband Just received this email from visa office asking for more documents, but I did not understand something if we can send the fee now or waiting till the other applications are ready ( will take a time ) ... as you see : the fee for canada office , and our application must send to syria where the visa office.

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Please send the following documents and return this form with the requested documents:





- Have your sponsor pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee of $490 x1 on your behalf in Canada. Please ensure that the original receipt is forwarded to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga and NOT to this office.

- Military service card or Proof of Military Exemption

- Original police certificate from UAE - Abu Dubai & Al Ain for yourself.

- Copy of all pages of your sponsor’s passport used since October 2009 showing all entry and exit stamps.







If you are requested to submit a Police Certificate (see above), please send the original police certificate and the certified translation.





JORDAN: All civil status documents must be issued by the Civil Registry Department of the Jord.......................................ect



Please note that if you do not comply with this request within 90 days of the date of this letter, your application for permanent residence in Canada will be assessed on the basis of the information already before the officer. Failure to provide the requested documents could result in the refusal of your application.



Please note: It is your responsibility to ensure that the information you provide our office is accurate and up-to-date. Please inform us immediately if there are any changes to the information or documents you have submitted. If there is a change in your legal status or that of any family member (marriage, birth, death, divorce, etc.) you must notify us before visas are printed.

All correspondence/documents must be sent directly to the Canadian Embassy in Damascus at the address indicated above. DO NOT send or submit any documents to our offices in Amman, Beirut or Tehran. Any correspondence you send to these offices will be returned to you.



Please note, if you are successful and a visa is issued you will be requested to send your ORIGINAL PASSPORT directly to the Canadian Embassy in Damascus via commercial courier. Passports cannot be submitted to our offices in Amman, Beirut, or Tehran. DO NOT send your original passports until you are requested to do so. At that time you will be provide with additional information on procedures.



Your file is being processed in Damascus. No representations, faxes, telephone calls or correspondence can or will be answered by these Embassies; all inquires must be sent directly to the visa office in Damascus.

and do you have Idea how or which best way to send the fee??

you need to ask your sponsor.if he has not paid yes he has to pay that now . you can use money order , on line. if you do it on line make sure you print the receitp and send that in with the rest of your documents.

I asked him, he payed only 550 for the application ..

any way .. thanks alot , I will tell him to pay that now .

No!!! Do not send the receipt with the rest of the documents to Damascus. They tell you in the letter to send the receipt to CPC Mississauga:
Please ensure that the original receipt is forwarded to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga and NOT to this office.


You can send a COPY of the receipt with your documents to Damascus if you want. But you need to send the original receipt to Mississauga. This is the correct address to send your RPR fee receipt:

You can either pay the fees online with a credit card or you can pay at a bank. BUT if you pay at a bank you will need to request that a receipt be mailed to you which could take up to 2 weeks. So if you can , it's much better to pay online an then you can print the receipt immediately and submit that.

Sorry, I wasn't clear what you meant by the "Canada" office.

You can't pay your fee online with a money order. As I said, you can pay online with a credit card or pay at a bank. Follow the instructions here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

I got a letter almost the same as you.
I paid the fee online and forwarded the original receipt to syria and a copy to CPC in mississauga as my immigration consultant told me.
They just asked me to pay this fee.
Does it mean that my file is complete or they may also send another email in future asking for other documentation or even interview ?
