I got invite under CEC on Dec 22 and submitted my e-APR today, got AOR as well.

Question is while my application in process can I move to Quebec.? I am currently in talks with one of the company who wants to hire me and offer is too good to say No. Only problem is company wants me to work in Montreal for first 6 months Starting March, then I might get called back to Ontario or They Might want to keep me in Montreal I don't know.

How Likely is this going to affect my application.? I have been living in Ontario for 5 years and I have strong ties in Ontario and that's what I mentioned as my place of preference as well, but due to job if i go to Quebec is that going to result in rejection?

From what I understand, as soon as you get your PR card, there's nothing they can do from stopping you from moving to another province, even if it's Quebec. The exception to that is if you received a PNP.

Since you've already submitted your eAPR and it shows no sign of ties to Quebec it is highly unlikely this will affect your applicant.

You will have to provide IRCC with your Quebec address, and this will likely lead to an inquiry about your intentions. If IRCC believes your intention is to remain in Quebec, they are obligated to refuse your application.

If you can get anything in writing from the company that communicates a reasonably solid intention to transfer you back to Ontario, then it *might* be OK.

I agree with the others, and would recommend waiting until you complete your landing (PR card has nothing to do with this) before moving to Quebec. Since your NOC is 2174, I'm assuming this is a startup\tech company? I'm sure they'll be flexible if you explain your situation to them.

Can you work remotely?

It's consultant company who wants to me hire full time, and relocate me to one of their client location which is in Montreal so remote work is not possible, but because I am an employee of a company based in Toronto I think I can justify my intention of staying or moving back to Ontario. I can also stat that only reason I am in Quebec is because of work assignment.

But only concern I have is I don't know if this are convincing arguments.

I know people who left their jobs and moved out of Quebec just to prove their intentions.

Decide what's more important to you: job or PR?

Both ;D.

But I already have another stable job in Ontario, I guess I will wait to Get PR and let them know I can't move until I have my PR Card.

Once you landed as PR there is no way anyone can restrict you from living in Quebec, as stated in Charter of Right and Freedom Sec. 6 (2).

"Oh I landed in Toronto and I hated it the moment I set foot out of the airport. I'm going to Montreal"

The only problem is during landing process, CBSA determines you have solid evidence of job offers, house/car purchase in Quebec. Simply email discussions of a job offer in Montreal probably isn't enough prove of the accusation.

Company headquarter doesn't matter. Its the primary work location that matters. I can have job offer from US company that bases in Edmonton.
