I want to move from Alberta to BC this winter. I applied for citizenship March 2020 and got my AOR at the end of August. If I move to BC will my application be delayed? I mean because of this stupid pandemic citizenship tests are delayed for maybe one year and so will I just be stuck here till I get the citizenship? Somebody please give me an idea. Thank you..

File transfer just takes 2 months delay in transferring the file. When the tests are not there for a year (not at least this winter), i dont see any issues in changing/moving as there is plenty of time for them to process the application. Waiting for more time to change is the only issue for you delaying your file as moving now will be much less headache than moving it later.

Thank you so much for your reply. Some ppl saying “if it’s 2-4 months delay then you are lucky”. I don’t know anymore. I feel so trapped here in this frozen Alberta and I waited years to be citizen. Then this pandemic started and I also started to have chronic health issues. I was planning to be Canadian but didn’t know what was waiting for me. Now If I move it will be even more delays and I just don’t know. Losing my sanity completely.

4 months time delay would have been there if you tried during peak covid shutdown(Apr-May-Jun) of cic offices when they were not even doing any work but its not the case now as you can see the cic is working at least partially from Jul (thats why we got AOR & IP and many completed Oath).
