I'm an American citizen that would like to move in with my Canadian boyfriend, taking my baby with me. Is it possible for me to live in Canada while going through the immigration process? I would like to become a dual citizen.

As an US citizen you can live in Canada for 6 months as a visitor. If you want to stay longer you would have to apply for extension as a visitor.

There are chances that you might be refused if you spend too much time in Canada than US.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Yes, you can. You would be allowed to take short courses, 6 months or less as a visitor but you can not work or enroll in a longer study program. You would not have health care.
