Yes. For CEC, there is no requirement for the experience to be in a single NOC, or continuous.

It must be from the last three years though, and it must be full-time work (at least 30h per week) or the equivalent of one year in part-time work. You also cannot be short by a week or even a day. You must have a full 52 weeks of experience cumulatively.

You need 1 year of full-time continuous work experience in 1 NOC. All your other work experience can be in different NOCs, as long as they are skill level A, B, or O.

Hi guys,
I have worked as assistant professor in a College on Adhoc basic (11 months contract for each year for total of 5 years). This employer does not deduct any taxes except a small amount which goes to municipality/city as some sort of tax. And at the end of the year, they give us a document called Form-16 (India) which shows how much I earned and that city's tax deducted.

Would this make me self employed? and would that make my experience not eligible for express entry system?

Skilled work experience

Your work experience must be:

at least one year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships do not count),
in the same job,
within the last 10 years, and
at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC).

You need 1 year of full-time continuous work experience in 1 NOC. All your other work experience can be in different NOCs, as long as they are skill level A, B, or O.

CIC's wording is confusing. I assure you, only 1 year needs to be in the same NOC. All other experience can be made up of multiple NOCs.

Thanks a lot... but this creates another confusion.... do all the different experiences/NOCs have to be within 10 years or only the same NOC has to be within 10 years? apologies for asking so many questions!!!

Got 2 questions -

I have 10 + years experience in Corp Sales Mgmt which includes Admin Mgmt. For this job I used the Corp Sales Mgmt NOC.
I also have 1 year experience in a solely Admin Mgmt position which I used the Admin Services Mgr NOC.
I also listed my primary NOC as Admin Services in my EE profile. And in the OINP profile under - intended job in Ontario.

1) Based on experience in this forum, do you see my primary NOC being a problem with CIC as I only have 1 year in that NOC and 10 years in the Sales NOC?

2) For the primary NOC, there is a question on the EE profile, how long have you been qualified to practice/work in this field? Is it that you list since you have started working in that area or is it since you have gotten a degree/qualification in that area (as in work and get the degree during so let us say I worked there for 10 years and got my degree 5 years after I should only put 5 years qualified)?

I have created an express entry profile with NOC 2174 , however For last one Year my duties match with NOC 2171 .
In Order to apply for SINP - EE , i need the NOC code as 2171.

Can i create another express entry profile with multiple NOC's .Is this possible or i have to withdraw existing one and create a new one with only 2171 as NOC code.

In Short : can i create a new profile with Multiple NOC's and will this affect if i withdraw older one ?

You can edit existing one. You can have only one active profile at any point of time.
