Hello everyone, I’m currently on implied status as I previously lost my status and now I'm applying to restore it. I contacted immigration asking if I could leave the country before the results on my application and they answered:

If you plan on leaving Canada before a decision is made on your application, we advise that you do not withdraw your application and to let processing continue so that you maintain a legal status. If you withdraw your application, the Case Processing Centre considers that no application has been made and you will no longer be on implied status as of the end of the period authorized for their stay.

Does that mean it's ok to leave? Has anyone being through this before?

You don't have implied status.

You are out of status in Canada.

Applying to restore your status dose not give you implied status. You continue to be out of status in Canada until restoration is approved.

Yes - you can certainly leave Canada.

Thank you for answering, that's what I'm unsure about, I know I don't have a status right now and that I'm restoring it, so shouldn't I have to wait inside the country for an answer?
