Hi Guys,
I would appreciate if you share your thoughts here
Background: I am currently living in Canada on post-grad work permit. I have a valid TRV and post-grad work permit until August 2015.
Question: I have an offer of admission from a Canadian Graduate School and going to apply for a study permit online. I am going to leave Canada and go back home to meet my family while my study permit application is being processed.
My question: 1. Can I leave Canada and stay in my home country while my study permit application is being processed in Canada? 2. If my application for study permit is approved and my status changes from worker to student, would I have a problem to enter into Canada at the port of entry? (I would have a Valid TRV issued to a worker but post grad work permit is no longer valid and changed to study permit)
Thanks

Yes, you can, but you need to make sure you get the study permit.
CIC is willing to send the study permit to Canada address, not your country.

Thanks for your reply. This is exactly one of my concern. Do you think I won't be able to enter into Canada if I don't have the study permit in hand?

You must show your study permit when you come back here... You will get the study permit within 2 weeks. Dont worry.
