Can I leave and re-enter Canada with a expired work visa but a valid work permit

Hi there,
I am leaving to the U.S by air in 2 weeks and my Canadian work visa has expired but I just got a brand new work permit do you think they will let me back in Canada with a valid work permit but an expired work visa? Thank you!

You can re-enter Canada from US without a valid visa but a permit. For any other country though, you would need a valid TRV

1. Why don't you go to the "horses mouth"? Here is the Regulations

Visa exemption — purpose of entry Dispense : objet de l’entrée
(3) A foreign national is exempt from the requirement to
obtain a temporary resident visa if they are seeking to enter
and remain in Canada solely................

(f) to re-enter Canada following a visit solely to the
United States or St. Pierre and Miquelon, if they
(i) held a study permit or a work permit that was issued
before they left Canada on such a visit or were
authorized to enter and remain in Canada as a temporary
resident, and
(ii) return to Canada by the end of the period initially
authorized for their stay or any extension to
it
