Hello,

I'll be graduating from university end of august this year, and my student visa does not expire till November 30th. So, my question is: Can i continue to work part-time (currently working this summer part-time) until November 30th?

I can't apply for Post-grad work permit as I have already received one with my previous degree, so I'm just waiting to get ITA from Express Entry.

Thank you!

From what I know, unless you get a bridging working permit that allows you to work in between, you cant work with only student permit as you are not a full time student and therefore not eligible to work unless its on a break term but not if you have graduated.

This is what I know, if someone can confirm..?

I think you can work full time because you are no longer a full time student so you can work full time now

As I understand once graduated you are no longer a student therefore no longer meeting the terms of the study permit and therefore no longer allowed to work. The study permit is not a work permit and its sole purpose is to cover study period, work is secondary and in fact in theory you probably need to apply to extend stay given post August you are no longer enrolled but others can comment on that.

hmmm, technically, my graduation ceremony isn't till November 20th. Does that make any difference?

graduation ceremony does not matter u cannot work on student visa as soon as get grades for ur last course. ur transcripts will show when that happened. u could have worked if u applied for PGWP but in ur case u have already used ur PGWP so no u cannot work on student visa.
