Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I'm from Europe but study in Canada so it's a different health system. I have problems with my pelvis since a few years (idk it's kind of rotated and unsymmetrical, the right one stands out a bit). I have a very uncomfortable pressure feeling on my right side while laying on my left side, but I didn't take action because I'm very very scared to go to a doctor. That's also why haven't been to any doctor in like 10 years...( thank God I didn't need a study visa medical exam as some do). But now, it has gotten to a point where I can't really take it anymore and I have to take action. I want it as uncomplicated and short as possible because I'm scared so I want to go to an (orthopedist or how it's called) right away, have a surgery or something and somehow get over with that. I really don't want to have to go to a normal doctor first, I couldn't do it. Can I do it in Canada (BC Vancouver)? Just go to a specialist doctor right away so I don't have to go to two doctors? Does anyone know? Thanks you
I'm

I have no idea, but you can always phone a specialist to find out.

Normally you have to go first to a general doctor and then that Dr. will be the one to put in a referral to the specialist, there might be a wait but that is depending on your situation. But if you go to a private practice then it might be a different story.

If you're looking for short - you'd be far better off going to a general physician first. If your situation is serious, the GP will try to expedite your appointment with the specialist.

Agreed that specialists typically don't take appointments directly - but only through referrals (at least the good ones). My guess is that if you go directly and they agree to book an appointment, you'll be waiting months longer.

Yes i agree with you scylla ,frankfurtvancouver must go first to the general doctor first because general doctor is also a MBBS degree holder so He/she could surly knew your condition so it is my suggestion.
