Can I give my biometric outside of Canada?

Hello everyone,

I’m based in Canada with an open work permit. I’ve got my flight booked for the Uk later this month and should be returning back to Canada sometime in November . Is it possible to give my biometrics over there? I mean in the Uk.
Please I need advice, help me if you have done something like this recently or have any idea.
I called IRCC and the agent said yes I can, after all Canada still has no idea of opening biometric till now although the website states DONT and also states you CAN.
I am a bit confused.

Yes you can. I and my wife did our biometrics at Dubai. You can give your biometrics in any country that you can legally enter and has this service available. It wont affect your application in any way.

Yes you can. I and my wife did our biometrics at Dubai. You can give your biometrics in any country that you can legally enter and has this service available. It wont affect your application in any way.
