Can I get Study permit after getting scholarship from McMaster university

Guys,
I did apply under university category on july 18 through VFS Delhi and my application was reached on july 19 at CHC in new delhi..I got verification call on 27th july since then I have been waiting..No idea at all.. what is happining there
My Profile
MSc in Bioinformatics(2005) with 67%
BSc in Science 50%
No IELTS It was not required for MSc
Scholarship I got scholarship..$6000 for two years
Experience 8+ years I have worked in the USA as a Software Engineer and in Germany.presently working in india..No Gap

Hi Seema,

Have u applied for FALL 2013 ? even I am looking for applying the same university with similar profile in FALL 2014.

Curious to know if you have received your study permit or not, heard of saying with more than 5 years of gap in education will affect the study visa.
