Hello Friends,

I have been rejected under SPP. So now I have to apply under General Category.

My question is can I still go for a GIC even if I am filling under General Category?? Or is GIC only for SPP category??? Please help me with guys...

Yes you can. You still can pay your tuition fee out of your own funds and purchase GIC. However, though now you may add proof of funds.

sabby...what do u mean by " However, though now you may add proof of funds. "

Shld I provide proof of funds even If I purchase GIC??

under general category, it's advisable to do so. However, in SPP, you need not show any income documents at all. Though if you check the checklist, they won't ask for income or proof of funds. However, it's my personal opinion basis experience, it's advisable to provide proof of funds which could be ITR of your father, mother and brothers.

dats cool sabby2612...thnx so much for the information brother...

I have applied for a Student Permit thrice and was rejected all the times...I am going to apply again i.e., for the fourth time for Sep 2013 intake...crazy right!!!!

explain ur profile , give the course u applied for each tym nd the rejection u recieved fort the same...

not crazy, i rather salute your passion for Canada. Though this could be little stupid or uninformed if you keep applying in wrong manner. you are denied three times, you first must know the reason of rejection. Could you please share your complete profile? and also dates of rejections please?

these aren't stupid reasons... pretty valid reasons... Although it's very much clear about your rejection reason this time. But it's worth applying for CAIPS notes to know detailed version of refusal.

GAP +4 years means (gap between your last education and your application for study permit). Ideally they expect the gap not be more than 4.5 years. IELTS copy not clear ( that's why I always recommend, all educational documents should be attested in color copies ) rest are generic reasons of rejection.

You didn't mention the dates of previous rejections.

your educational background is not very impressive but as long as it's above 50%, it's good to go, IELTS score is good to go and experience certainly adds value to your application package.

College is in SPP list and is a community college specializing in post grad programs. hence shouldn't be a problem.

program you selected is also not a mismatch as it matches with your previous education and work experience.

This part of province is also not a bad choice at all.

What we need further to evaluate;

1. dates of rejections and reasons with every rejection;

2. what financial documents you attached (apart from the loan)

3. Loan you obtained, did you get it disbursed or did you apply with the sanction letter? was this loan by any chance against FDs?

4. Which bank did you take loan from?

5. Any other documents you attached with your file?

Hey sabby. Just one question

Can i submit colored copies of my educational docs to embassy? do they accept colored copies? Does it gives the good impression to the vo?

thanks
