Can I get a job offer if I am waiting student status restoration + PGWP?

Hi all,

My study permit expired before I applied for my PGWP. I restored my student status and applied for PGWP in January.
According to IRCC, I cannot work until both of my applications are approved. My question is: can companies give me job offers if I am in this situation?

I am currently in the middle of securing a job offer (still need a meeting with HR for written offer details). However, I am concerned if my situation will ruin this job. Has anyone had a similar situation but was able to get a job offer, even though the company was aware that you are not eligible to work right now?

Just clarifying whether you applied for restoration or restoration plus study permit? Did your study permit expire before you ended your studies?

Thanks for replying. Sorry I didn't explain my condition well enough.

I was a master's student in Ontario. My study permit expired on Dec 31st 2021. I finished all my requirements (courses, thesis, seminar, etc) on Dec 23rd. On this date, I got my thesis approval from the department. Ever since then, I was basically waiting for the school to deposit my thesis and process my graduation. On Jan 17th, I was officially considered graduated.

Then I realized my study permit expired, and I had to restore my student status and apply for PGWP. I followed the steps from the CIC website:
"Restoring your status as a student has a fee of $350. Due to system limitations, applicants must pay the fees to restore their status as a student online and attach a copy of the receipt to their PGWP online application",
which is basically "Restore your status ($200) and get a new study permit ($150)"

I submitted my PGWP application (with an explanation letter and receipt for paying the student status restoration) on Jan 26th.

I restored my status + applied for PGWP on the same day (Jan 26th). This is indicated by this

Simply paying the restoration fees doesn't mean your SP has been restored.

It is a combination restoration and getting study permit status. Not a normal restoration
